On 24 March, we welcomed representatives of Cedris at WerkBedrijf: chairman Mohamed el Mokaddem and director Esme Rijs. Cedris is the national association for an inclusive labour market.
We showed how we organise social employment in our region: without our own production facilities and with almost all employees seconded to employers. This approach fits our regional labour market well and depends on close collaboration with employers.
Part of the visit was a tour at 2dA, where employees digitise archives using advanced technology developed by 2dA itself. Mohamed and Esme were impressed by this innovative way of working and by the valuable role our colleagues fulfil in it. Together with director Peter van Anrooij, we discussed the challenge of remaining competitive as an inclusive entrepreneur.
Afterwards, together with colleagues, entrepreneur Theo Snoek and staff members, we talked about topics that matter to all of us: the practical feasibility of support at employers, legislation and regulation, and the development and growth of employees.
Our guests said they valued speaking with people from all levels of our organisation. They also found it interesting to see how we have organised things here, precisely because our approach in the Netherlands is unique.
It was a valuable and insightful visit that shows how important it is to meet one another in practice.
